Need RMS OPOS Driver for VeriFone 1000 PinPad v1.5.0.0

Tom,

The VeriFone page has the driver for the USB version =
www.verifone.com/technical-support.aspx under the Installation =
Instructions in the bottom right and also above it between the SC225 and =
the 610.  Itâ80™s the same file.

The 1000 plugs into a COM port unless you are using a USB conversion =
cable.  If so, that driver comes from the conversion cable company or =
you might try the instructions Verifone offers just above the USB driver =
mentioned earlier.  You will still need to use the Configure OPOS =
Devices within the RMS Start menu options though for both.

BTW, if its a 1000  and not a 1000SE, is not PCI compatible after July =
1.  You need to replace it,  Check with your processor. Also check your =
1000SE for a 3DES sticker on the back of it.  If it doesn't have one, it =
will need to be re-encrypted too.

  It's a little frustrating the neither Verifone nor Microsoft has a =
driver
  download page.

Sharkck,

The OPOS driver is included with RMS.  To access it, Start | Programs | =
Microsoft Retail Management... | Configure OPOS Device...

BTW, starting July 1, all VeriFone 1000SE pinpads with a serial number =
less than P003-180-xxx will no longer be allowed for usage.  No VeriFone =
_1000_ pinpads will be allowed at all.
