About a month ago I became unable to download transactions (direct connect) into Quicken 2014 from one of my financial institutions. Downloading had worked fine using Q2011 and (since January) Q2014. None of the usual fixes, disabling accounts for download, re-enabling, etc., rectified the problem. So I finally called the bank's tech support number. A technical representative told me that the bank has stopped downloads and support of WinXP machines. Yes, I am fully aware the MS has completely stopped support of XP.
So my questions to this group: Is it true that the bank can control the downloads, and, if true, why have I not seen reports of this in this newsgroup or other support systems?
