Historical Prices In Quicken 2015?

Just wondering, what does the Historical Prices feature in the Port Window do in Quicken 2015? I was going to run it for my stocks, but decided I had better check first to see what it does (don't want to mess up my stock listings in Quicken :).

Thanks charliec

Assuming that you're talking about the Historical Prices feature under the Update button ... it brings in a lot of old prices for the securities that you've marked for downloading quotes.

BUT, you can always take a backup before using it ... just for safety's sake.

Yes, that what I was talking about - thanks for the info - I don't really need it now, so I will leave it alone.

I have a similar question about historical prices in quicken deluxe 2014. Where do I find the option to turn historical prices downloads on or off? I have multiple investment accounts and it seems to me (not sure) that historical prices downloads on some accounts but not others.

There's no "on or off", because it's a "you start the historical download, or you don't". The start action is INVESTING, Download Activity, Historical Quotes.
