Mix Foreign and US$

Can Quicken handle, in the same file, a checking account in a foreign (non-US) currency at the same time as other checking accounts in US$?

Would one version of Q be better for this than another version?

As far as I can tell Quicken 2013 has no problems with foreign currencies. When you set up an account you tell Quicken what currency said account is in. You can download exchange rates and Quicken will tot up your net worth correctly. The help file states all this.

For what it's worth I happen to have some foreign stock holdings; the brokerage account displays its net worth in Euros, but the total net worth comes up correctly in dollars.

Haven't tried to transfer currencies from one account to another, but the help file in Q2013 seems to think it's not a big deal.
