OL-254B Error, unable to download transactions from anywhere

Well it seems that Quicken 2004 basic has just died on me. I can't download my transactions from Discover anymore, now I can't download from Fidelity either. Both were via direct connect. I get the stupid OL-254-B message.

I have tried deactivating and reactivating the accounts, but that doesn't seem to do anything. I am having to resort to doing everything by hand. Seems like Quicken is going backwards instead of foward. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm having a similar issue with Banknorth. The last time this happened I ended up exporting all the info and importing it into a new file. Try setting up a new file and see if that connects properly. I am about to do that again as the BN customer support call was a waste of time today. I think the folks in this group know more about quicken than the 2 dudes covering the help desk do.

I'm getting ready to install Q on another machine to see if XP SP2 is the culprit. I do have a trouble ticket in but I will keep playing with it until they call me next week. I suspect that the problem is on their end. Efforts to set up Quickbooks to access the same accounts also failed.
