Processing/Handling of hidden securities

[Qkn Dlx 2015 R3 on Vista Ultimate SP2]

Well, now that I have been able to make the changes in Qkn that reflect real life change of FIs (with thanks to RC White for concept), I want to eliminate the clutter in the Securities list by hiding any security we do not currently own.

Should the new FI advisors decide to purchase a security we USED to have and is hidden, will the Quicken matching process find the now hidden security or will it suggest it as something new?

Thanks

It's somewhat strange (interesting?) that you, RC, and I *all* had to attempt to install it twice before the latest revision installed correctly. Must be something inherent in this particular installation that needs a second go.

Andrew, Not to rain on the parade, but I haven't tried R7 yet. I was referr ing to transferring securities from old FI to new one without losing histor ical data (purchase price and date). John Pollard's advice helped in that r egard, and my mention of RC is because over the years he has drilled repeat edly in us - well, into me at least - that the real world is what counts an d what is done in Quicken should reflect that as opposed to efforts of folk s who try to shoehorn their needs regardless of what's going on "outside".

In reference to your comment, it may still be applicable, as I intend to up date to R7 this week. My experience may well echo yours and RC's.... but I hope not!

Andrew - OFF TOPIC - Updated to R7 second time using manual update. The OSU path downloaded - I guess - but went no further. FYI
