Prompted for Intuit Password

I've been running a daily One Step Update for as long as I can remember, Today I was prompted for my Intuit ID password. I entered it and the OSU completed OK, but why was I asked to enter it today? I vaguely remember entering it when I installed Q 2016 some months ago, but certainly didn't upgade Q yesterday.

If you store that Intuit ID, and password, in your Password Vault you'll never again be asked for it.

If you don't, you'll be periodically asked for it.

How do I do that? My vault has entries for my various financial institutions but I don't see way to enter my Intuit ID

To save the Intuit ID in the Password Vault, select "Edit"->"Preferences", "Intuit ID, Mobile & Alerts", and "Update your Intuit ID Profile informatio n", close the "Quicken Browser" window, check the box to the left of "Save to my Password Vault" that appears in the lower left of the "Enter Intuit I D Password" window, enter the Intuit ID Password, select "Sign In" and "OK" .

FWIW, same thing happened to me a few weeks ago as well (ie: asking for the Intuit Password on accounts that have had them established in the vault for years). Did it once, and that was it.

Again, this whole Intuit password is a PITA. If we're using a set of files on our local machine with a local program with the ability to already use a file password, there's no reason that we need yet ANOTHER password. This is not the way Q worked until fairly recently as I had vented in an earlier post.

This is weird. I went through your process. Then I restarted Q and ran a OSU. It said there is a Quicken Update so I installed it. After it installed OK, I retarted Quicken and ran another OSU. It asked for my Intuit password again, even though the "Save to my Password Vault" box was still checked. I entered my Intuit password and the OSU completed. But when I edit the password vault I don't see the Intuit ID.

I got asked for it today, maybe the 3rd time in 7 months of Q16. And

I was prompted whether I wanted it stored in the vault.
