Charitable deductions by sole proprietorship rather than personal

When a writer gives away office furniture, books, tech stuff, can they deduct it from the business expenses as a charitable deduction or does it have to go on the personal? Yes, I do take the home office deduction.

No, a sole proprietor can't take a charitable deduction on Schedule C

- you have to do that as a personal deduction.

And if these items were used in the business, the deduction is limited to the lower of FMV or depreciated cost basis.
