HSA contribution limit question (re: filing status)

Hi

I see for 2015, HSA contribution limit is $3350 for single, or $6650 for family. Does this depend on the filing status (individual vs joint) or does it depend on my insurance (enrolled as individual vs enrolled as family)?

I have insurance through my employer under a family plan. However, I've not yet discussed with my accountant whether it's best to file individually or jointly (we just got married).

Thanks

It's the plan not your filing status. See IRS Pub 969 for more information on HSAs. It's still the 2013 version but the law has not changed.
