Re: No Information after at least 3 weeks of having electronically filed

I had my taxes electronically filed at least 3 weeks ago by somebody; and, every time I call the IRS I can't get any live person and with the last call after trying to order a transcript of my 2015 taxes which had been with form 1040 it said there was no information of the 2015 year. I really need this refund...what should I do?

I've tried the first thing you said like 10 times. I keep getting excuses why she can't give me an answer.

Ask for proof that and when the return was actually filed. I wonder if it might have been put on extension without telling you.

It is sometimes possible to get a loan secured by your tax refund, though the cost is relatively high. If your tax preparer screwed up, ask them to pay the costs for you to get your refund via the loan process.

If that does not work you need to determine the status of the return. Easiest way is to get a transcript. ?You can get your free transcripts immediately online. You can also get them by phone, by email or by fax within five to 10 days from the time IRS receives your request.

?To view and print your transcripts online, go to IRS.gov and use the Get Transcript tool.

?To order by phone, call 800-908-9946 and follow the prompts. You can also request your transcript using your smartphone with the IRS2Go mobile phone app.

?To request an individual tax return transcript by mail or fax, complete Form 4506T-EZ, Short Form Request for Individual Tax Return Transcript. Businesses and individuals who need a tax account transcript should use Form Form 4506-T, Request for Transcript of Tax Return.
