A pretty good article describing some of the things we should all know about fund yields, especially bond fund yields. I've said it before and it's important to keep this in mind: recent distribution yield and even last 12 months' distribution yield may be *very* different from the long-term yield one can expect going forward, particularly if a fund holds a bunch of bonds which are trading at a premium.
