Auto expenses for rental property

I am using TurboTax to deduct mileage for tending to a residential rental property. The program uses the same worksheet as for work related auto expenses and gives an error message if non-deductable commuting miles are not included. Is it not true that "commuting" only applies to your "main" job (which for me this is not)? Should I just enter zero and ignore the error? Thanks, Kenn

Unless you have other business related miles, just put down a number that represents the non-rental / business miles. The program will only deduct the miles for that business. It ignores the non-deductible commuting or personal miles.
