Bank sent me a 1099-R for the refund

I contributed to traditional IRA and found it could not qualify the tax deffer for the year. So I canceled the transition with Bank of America( They said I can cancel it within 30 days) and got the refund. Now I received 1099-R saying I have a distribution of the refund amount for the year. I think it is not right and not sure if this distribution will be subject to tax. Do I need to call bank to correct it? Thanks!

What's in the "2a Taxable Amount" field? If it's empty, you won't be subject to tax.
