Georgia State Tax

I was wondering whether you can take a large deduction (truck) on top of the standard deduction that is allowed.

In other words, if the standard deduction is $ 500 and the tax on the truck was $ 1300 can I take both or just the higher of the two.

I don't think TurboTax explains it that well or I overlooked it.

TIA

Individuals that take the federal standard deduction must take the Georgia standard deduction. Except for age (over 65) or blindness, there aren't any additions to the Georgia standard deduction amount.
