Liability of Incorporator for unpaid Franchise taxes

How does an incorporator of a never activiated C corp avoid personal liability for the years that entity did not file tax returns or make payments of the minimum California frachise tax?

There is no personal liability for any corporate taxes other than unpaid sales and withholding taxes, which the corporation collects and is supposed to pay over to the proper authorities. If those taxes are not paid, anyone who has had any control over the corporation's finances can be personally liable.

Nothing wrong with Stuart's answer as long as the OP statement that the C corp was never activated means that the corporation never had assets that the owner withdrew.
