I paid off my home (single family residence) in California in 2003. I rented out my CA home and relocated to India in
2005. I took a mortgage on my CA home in 2006 to buy a home in India. Is my mortgage interest on CA home deductible as a rental property expense on the US federal returns? Thanks.
