Schwab Funds Supplementary Tax Info

Apr 16, 2006 1 Replies

Schwab sends out their Schwab Funds Supplementary Tax Info with all the usual stuff you need to fill out the always weird fed tax free/some states yes/no tax free status of these funds. This year they give you the break down for the Municipal Money fund but not the California Municipal Money fund. AMT% is provided for both funds.

Does this imply the California fund is 100% fed and state tax free since they don't show the state break out ? Sorry if this reads rough.

There is probably a sentence somewhere in the Supplementary Info that states that unless otherwise noted State Municipal Bond funds are 100% tax-free in the titled state. Ira Smilovitz
