I just got my SSA-1099 form. It includes a figure in Box 6 because I voluntarily withheld taxes. The instructions say that if Ido this, I have to include a copy of the Form with my return.
If I file electronically via TT, will this be included, or do I have to do a subsequent mailing? Mel
If you file electronically, there will be enough information in the efile to satisfy the IRS. You do not have to mail physical copies of forms showing withholding taxes when you efile.
