Stimuls Money and Federal Taxes

Am on disabilty here and recived a $250.00 stimuls check in 2009.When I filed my federal taxes When I got my refund it was $250.00 less than I was to recive.Called the company that had prepared my taxes and I was told the Fed had taken the $250.00 off of my return.Is that Right?

I'm not sure what you think you were to recieve but if you got the $250 in a stimulus check then you do NOT get it again as a tax credit on your tax return. If you have earned income that made you eligible for the make-work-pay credit, that credit is properly reduced by the $250 you received earlier.

The $250 payment is accounted for on Schedule M of your 2009 return. It reduces any Making Work Pay credit you'd otherwise be entitled to. There's not enough information in your post to determine why you think the refund check was $250 short, but look at your return, including Schedule M, to see if everything looks right.
