I'm putting solar panels on my house. If I pay the installer before the end of 2015, can I claim the credit on my 2015 taxes, even though the work is not yet complete? Honestly, the work will not have even started, but the contract is signed. And I trust the installer enough that I'm willing to pay him 100% up front if it will get me the credit on this year's taxes.
