changing shares issued

I want to change the share proportioned between myself and the co-owner of our company. How do I change (sell) shares so that the new split is 51:49 instead of 50:50??? Are there any documents that have to be filed or gov forms that have to be filled our and sent to the registry of companies??

BTW, this is a Canadian company. We didn't use a lawyer to incorporate

One of you sells one share to the other. The only reporting (in Ontario - other provinces may have a requirement) is on your T2 return, Schedule 50.
