Did you know Only 2 out of 10 Retiree will be self sufficient?

And only half of baby boomers have investment?

These figures are from a market research paper, and I wanted to do my own survey to check the validity of them.

If you could take a minute to fill out this survey, I'll gladly share my finding with the group

How would you ever expect to get any kind of meaningful results by conducting a survey of people who are either financial planners or are interested in financial planning? Wouldn't just about 100% of the people here be fairly savvy on this topic and have established retirement accounts?

I'd think you would get better results doing a survey of people picked at random.

Did you look at the survey? "Have you ever Rented a Vacation Home or Timeshare?" and "At what price would it be affordable to Rent a 1BD/1BA Vacation House for a month?" (that's a rather large percentage of the whole thing.)

I don't think it really matters who he surveys, the results will be dubious. I don't think it's a scam, just not very well thought-out (a survey for the sake of doing a survey rather than to collect useful information)

sounds to me like it is a well thought out way of collecting meaningful information about who they should pester with timeshare sales propaganda.

I never saw anyplace where he collected names/addresses/etc.

That part comes after you click on "Done" at the end to submit the form. Then, there is a sales pitch for "SurveyMonkey" and a form that requests personal information if you sign up to have a look at "Survey Monkey.". I suppose this could be a survey to check figures in a market research project as the OP stated, but I doubt it. I distrust any post that begins with a question like "Did you know Only 2 out of 10 Retiree will be self sufficient?"
