I guess I can get my FICO score by paying $12 or so, but I'm pretty sure that companies get it for much less, if not free, when they are considering my credit. Is there a way to get one's FICO score for free? thanks, Joe Weinstein

I get it with one of my credit cards (Washington Mutual, formerly Providian). When you go to their on-line site, you'll see it on your account. They update it monthly.
