What is "CONSUMER QUICKEN BANKING "?

Hi, All.What's THIS?  After I ran my One Step Update this morning, I found this payment from my Wells Fargo checking account.  So I signed on to WF and confirmed that it does show up there, too.  All it says is:12/27/11    CONSUMER QUICKEN BANKING     $3.00Now, $3 isn't much and it didn't overdraw my account.  :^}  But I don't recall being asked to authorize any such charge and I've never seen one like it before.  (As it says in my Sig, I'm using Q2012D in Win7.)Am I alone?  Or do others see this, too?  Do you know the explanation?RC--R. C. White, CPASan Marcos, TX(Retired. As a WAG, I suspect that's a new charge from Wells Fargo for the privilege ofusing OSU. I suspect you'll need to call Wells and ask them.

Hi RC,Check out  specificallyIs there a charge to access my accounts and/or use Bill Pay with Quicken? * Online Banking with Quicken is $3 per month. * Online Banking and Bill Pay with Quicken is $9.95 per month.I think that says it all.Jerry

Hi, Jerry - and Robert.Thanks for the link.  I'll need to check it out.I've been using Quicken and Wells Fargo together for a decade or more with no monthly fees because we have a large CD there and a PMA account.  But an announcement a few weeks ago caused me to try to change my PMA arrangement. I don't recall the details; I'll have to look it up when I get time in a day or two.  But I must have misread it because they charged me $30.00 for a "PMA Monthly Service Fee" for the first time.  A quick cancellation of whatever I had just signed up for got me a reversal of that $30 charge.  But something must have triggered the $3 fee in its place, so I'll have to investigate further.At least I know where to start looking now.  Thanks, guys.RC--R. C. White, CPASan Marcos, TX(Retired. I get this too, and have been charged this for quite some time as well. It's a charge for using Quicken's online banking service with Wells Fargo.

I was never charged a fee until this summer, when there were 2 monthly charges that I got reversed successfully.  After that, some of the Chase downloads were "not authorized" anymore.  I was at first unsuccessful at getting my free downloads authorized again.  Then I explained to the local bank person in charge that $9.95/mo was much less of a fee to them than the charges they collect from my charge cards at Chase and that I was going to use other cards if they didn't give me free downloads.
