Quicken 2012 R5 Fix ...

corrects the default sort order in the schedule transactions window. Default sort order is now ascending rather than descending. Woo hoo!

A rather long list of more momentous fixes was included too. :-)

Hi, Margaret.

Thanks for pointing that out. I downloaded and installed the Release R 5 this morning, but hadn't really looked at it. Maybe Intuit does listen to us sometimes, after all. ;

R5 also fixed the other point I mentioned in the same post - retention of the investing.quicken.com checkoff on one step update. (Haven't checked the printer setup problem from a later post yet.)

Wow - R5 got that too, although not very elegantly. If one dismisses all the weird error messages as they occur and twiddles one's thumbs while major wheel spinning occurs, the delete wpr.dat workaround is not necessary.

Lol, I just upgraded to 2012 due to the deal Amazon was offering with Turbo Tax. First thing I noticed was the scheduled transactions were sorted exactly opposite of what I have been used to, could not find a way to change it, thought wth? Then I got message that R5 was available and updated to it, then the sort order was fixed. I thought the same thing, woohoo!

Glad I only had to deal with it a few minutes!

I was using Quicken 2012 this morning, but have not received a notification of the R5 release. Do I have to do something special to get it? charliec

Hi, Charlie.

It appeared when I got my morning OSU (One Step Update). Previous Releases have sometimes come in "waves", as I recall. Not sure if they are doled out alphabetically, geographically or in random order, but you should have yours within a few days, I think.
