Entering Tags in Q-2012

In past versions of Quicken you could enter a tag using just the keyboard by selecting the category field, typing the first letter(s) of the category until the one you wanted appeared, then typing a ":" and typing the first letter(s) of the sub-category until the one you wanted appeared, and then typing a "/" and typing the first letter(s) of the tag until the one you wanted appeared and then pressing enter.

So if you wanted "Personal Care:Haircuts" and a tag of "Wife" (and you had no other categories that started with a "P", subs under "Personal Care" that started with "H" or tags that started with "W") you entered this with 5 keystrokes: "P:H/W", hit enter and the category field would show "Personal Care:Haircuts/Wife".

In Quicken 2012 you can still type "P:H" as before and in the category field you would see "Personal Care:Haircuts" but the word "Haircuts"would be highlighted (selected). So if you now hit the "/" it replaces the word "Haircuts" with a "/"!. Ok, you can hit the END key or a right-arrow and then type the "/", but now Quicken no longer autofills the Tag from the list of available tags. So you need to actually type "/Wife" instead of just "/W". Worse, you can't see the list of available tags anymore.

Are there any workarounds for this that don't involve turning on the Tag field in the register?
