How can one compare 2 mutual funds from different families to see what overlap they have in terms of holdings.
I know Fidelity has a feature that lets you do this for their own funds.

One of M*'s portfolio X-Ray's premium (i.e. for fee) features is to show stock intersection within a portfolio, so with a 50-50 mix of two funds, you can see how much the funds overlap.
But this feature is available without charge via T. Rowe Price. (I don't know whether you have to be a customer or simply register as a visitor.) Go to Tools & Calculators (pull down), Investment Tools (on the left menu), and then Portfolio X-Ray(R) (center menu). At that point, you'll have to log in (vistor registration may be sufficient).
