Speculators

One of the financial experts interviewed on CNBC this morning indicated that he thought the speculators are the ones more responsible for moving out of the market than are individual investors. If this is the case, doesn't it stand to reason that they will quickly move back into the market when they believe it has bottomed out and thus help the market recover more quickly than it has in past market downturns? If individual investors are staying in, I guess they are listening to the financial expects who are saying "stay in."
