Purchase Order List Report

This report is almost very useful. We have added columns for department and cateogry, so that we can view what we have on open order broken out in this way. However, the date criteria in this report is completely faulty. Anytime we plug in any sort of date parameters (whether it is last received, PO date or required date) the report crunches forever and gives us records of every item since the beginning of time. Has anyone found a fix for this?

Scott,

You may have to scrap some table links in order for the dates to work properly. That's what I had to do on other reports of mine. As to why, I don't know.

Good luck, Matt

could someone post a fix for this problem? I am using the Custom - Purchase Order List.qrp report from the reports download area. You cant filter the reports by date, it is faulty. does anyone have a fix for this that wouldnt mind sharing?

Andy,

Seems to work for me. Filtered on PO Date just fine. Only showed me open PO's on that date. What doesn't work for you?

Jeff,

try filtering by a range of dates. when you filter by a range of dates, it populates the report with all known purchase orders from the beginning of time. it does not filter. If you have a working report, i would like a copy as well.

i have came across other reports in the past that have the same date filtering problem.

Andy,

Still works. Using the sample database files is Status = Closed and PO Date Between 07/01/02 AND 07/31/02 only shows closed for that range. Changing for Closed shows correct too. Changing the date range to include today shows open and closed PO's I've put in recently correctly too.

Only entering a PO Date does show all PO's sorted by PO #

What filter are you using?

Select the Store Operation Modified Reports section. If you are on the RMS Maintenance plan, you have access to it.

Jeff,

using the sample database is not a good example at all. I removed all filters for the Purchase Order List.qrp. the only purchase orders are of dates between 7\01/2002 and 7/31/2002. You will need to use a database with more purchase order information. I can provide this if you need. let me know what results you find. I believe you will find that the date filter is corrupt.

5 minutes later.....

well i just did some more testing. the date filter will work when there is a filter for the status. If you remove the status filter, the date filter will not work. So if you add to the filter Status = NoFilter, and Date (whatever date range you want), your date filter should start working.

My apologies... for the filter you want to add the following to fix the date problem...

Status NoFilter Date = (enter your date range)
