1099-B Short Term Transactions for which basis is reported to the IRS

I was reconciling my Capital Gains report - Last Year 2015 (Quicken 2013 R

10) to my 1099-B. The short term transaction cost basis does not agree with Mr. T. Rowe Price. Interesting enough, the number of shares and the net pr oceeds do agree.

But looking at my quicken report, a long term cap gain dividend, appears in the short term section. The dividend was paid on 12/15/2015. Should that d ividend appear as short term? In duration it is short but it was entered as a long-term cap gain distribution!

Confused!

Some fund companies have a habit of recording LT cap gains as simply "Divid ends", and then noting in the memo field that it's Long Term.

SO, what action did you use to record the 12/15 distribution?
