Calculation or miscalculation?

A few days ago, I run TurboTax (boxed CD) and got my AGI. Today, I run the same numbers on TaxAct 2005 and got my AGI $3547 less. The difference came from IRA Distributions and Social Security Benefits calculations in both programs. Thus, in both programs the line 15a is exactly the same, while line 15b in TurboTax is $1918 more than in TaxAct. Line 20a is exactly the same in both programs, but line 20b is in TaxAct $1630 more than in TaxAct. Because of these "calculations/miscalculations" my tax liability is significantly different... Does anyone know if there is some bug in either program?
