Fidelity downloads stopped working 1/21...

Using Q2006 premier. It's worked for 18 months, until now. Nothing has changed on my end....

Just hangs on "updating financial institution".

I've tried deleting info for an account, and re-adding it, and it then hangs in "contacting financial institution".

Fido, of course, claims everything is working fine.

Any way to "re-get" financial firm info, in case Quicken is somehow confused about which server to contact, etc, etc.

Or any other clues?

I solved the problem. The error was that the settings for Internet Explorer 7 and cookies got changed to not accept cookies unless confirmed by the user. I don't use IE 7, so it must have gotten changed in a service pack or somesuch.

Once I re-enabled cookies, the online downloads starting working again.
