My 401k brokerage wants to add placeholders,not because my shares are missing, but because the cash source is missing in all of my transactions (3 years worth).Everything in my file says "unknown source".If I accept the placeholders,then everything matches as far as pretax,post tax and emp. contribution. Now the placeholder looks like it wants a cost entry or should I just ignore this ? The placeholders are a series of added shares offset by a series of minus shares so the total shares does not change.Any ideas on this as far as historical performance ? I'm a Money convert and they did not account for cash source as far as I remember. Thanks Alan
