I am trying to find what the best tax line in setting up a Quicken 'category' would be for categorizing the withholding of Federal and State Taxes for a *taxable* withdrawal; not an RMD from a IRA or 401K account.
I changed these dividend re investments to taking the cash, and also permitted direct withholding of both estimate Fed and State taxes by the FI. (I am not sure if these withdrawals will show up in a 1099-B form or other 1099 form although I assume they have to. 1099-B perhaps? But that form is not in the list that Quicken already provides.)
Any suggestions? I suppose during the tax season I'll find out where they are really reported and can modify my procedures then, but someone here must have come across this already.
