TurboTax for Mac update woes--

Hi Fo= lks--

I updated my TurboTax Premier Home and Business for Mac today, and afterwar= ds my tax file runs very sluggishly, and for example, takes a long time to &= #8220;calculate” after I put in new data.  Also, when I enter num= bers in the spaces for the data, there is a “pause” from the tim= e I actually type the digits on my keypad, to when they actually appear on t= he page.

I’m running the software on a “snowball” G4 iMac, running= at 800 mHz, with 1 GB RAM, and with the latest OS 10.4 update installed. &n= bsp;Is this computer too slow for this fairly robust version of TurboTax? &n= bsp;I have a slightly faster machine, a 1.33 GHz G4 iBook, running the lates= t OS 10.5 update.  Should I transfer my data to this faster machine? &n= bsp;If so, exactly how would I do that?  I admit that I’m not the= best at backing up stuff, otherwise I’d know how to do that!

Please help me!  I did a lot of work earlier on during winter break on= my taxes, and only need to plug in a few more numbers before finalizing eve= rything as I have time the next few weeks. That said, I have a fairly compli= cated return, and I don’t want to lose everything I’ve already d= one, as it would take me days to reenter everything!

Thanks in advance,

Jean in Norfolk
