1009 from another state

I'm a contractor, and received a 1099 from a state (MO) other than my residence (CT). I never physically worked in that state, but the company with whom I contract is located there. Would I have to file in that state (no taxes were withheld) as well as my state of residence?

Nope, only in the state you worked in, which may or may not be your home state. ChEAr$, Harlan Lunsford, EA n LA

No. You have no filing requirement as long as you did no work in Missouri. However, you may get an inquiry from the Mo. Department of Revenue when they do their matching run with 1099s. Just send them a letter explaining that you didn't perform any work in Missouri. Katie in San Diego
