$1400 Stimulus Check

Taxpayer received his $1200 and $600 Stimulus checks with no problem. However, he has not received the $1400 check as of yet. IRS website states "Payment Status - Not Available". Does anyone know how he can make contact with someone that can explain why he is not receiving this latest check?

My best suggestion:

IRS c/o Santa Claus North Pole

I remember about 7 years ago I needed a tax transcript. I went to the local IRS office and was rebuffed by some sort of doorman/security guard, who was unquestionable the rudest government employee I ever met. I went to my Congressman's office and the aide told me that the IRS was having difficulty staying current with taxpayer assistance. I said "Yes, but your boss is Tea Party; he's one of the leaders in the defund the IRS movement." She gave a little grin like "What am I supposed to say" and got my transcript for me.

There is no one to call. From the IRS Get My Payment page: "Do not call the IRS. Our phone assistors don't have information beyond what's available on IRS.gov."

The 2021 account transcript will show the EIP3 payment once it is issued, but won't provide any guidance as to what may be delaying it. Getting transcripts is much easier now. Anyone can get their own transcripts online by signing up for an online account. (Of course, the sign-up process has some built-in quirks that exclude some applicants.)
