I opened a letter this morning that was sent May 8. Said bank to give my money to Franchise tax board by 5/22. I was in and out of hospital with autistic son, never opened mail til now. My fault for not seeing that note. But that was the only letter. Nothing from Franchise Tax at all? I only have child support and a small amount of alimony to live on each month. They took that. How can I take care of kids with NO FUNDS. Can they take the alimony? Can they take the Child Support? I am already getting food stamps, now what?
I have never owed for anything and paid my taxes always while in California. Have not lived there for over 4 years now and then this?
