can online EFTPS be used to send in interest payment?

Received an interest payment notice (form CP22A) from IRS due to filing a revised 1040X

It arrived with a payment coupon and I sent it in, including a personal check, via regular postal mail.

Now, 2 weeks later, the check still has not cleared so I suspect it's lost in the mail.

Since I have an EFTPS

account with my soc sec already setup, can I use that to make the payment directly ? It debits my personal checking account.

There is a selection for 'Audit Adjustment' and under it 'Interest Payment' and I simply enter the tax year. There is no way to identify the form CP22A but my soc sec is the logon and I've used it to make 1040ES payments already

I understand it's possible the lost check will turn out later but it would be better that I've paid the interest twice than not at all.
