Drops you right into a directory where, if you know the exact forms you need, (I do a trust by hand, needed the 1041 series) you can download one after the next with no searching around.

one level up has this note - This directory listing is considered an expert interface to locating PDF documents. So the interface is approved, not like they left it accessible by mistake.

While I wasn't aware that the directory was open to view, I've known for years that I can open any pub, form or instruction by appending "p"nnn.pdf, "f"nnnn.pdf or "i"nnnn.pdf to the address you've provided above. Sometimes there are some minor adjustments to what you might expect the filename to be. Similar things can be done in irs-dft for draft documents and irs-prior for prior year documents (these usually need the year as well).
