Fillable 1099-MISC forms?

This IRS page claims that with the correct version of Adobe Reader, I should be able to fill in certain forms:

Either they're lying, or the 1099-MISC available on the IRS site is not fillable.

Anyone know where I can get one that actually works? I'm using Adobe Reader

Adobe's help file says this: "Noninteractive PDF forms can be printed and filled in by hand. Or, you can choose Tools > Typewriter > Typewriter and use the Typewriter tool to type information over the blank form fields and then print a copy of the completed form."



Silly help file. The "typewriter" function doesn't exist on my Tools menu.

Look at the statement you get with this link. They don't want you to fill the on line forms, they want you to use their forms, or for you to use commercially fillable forms, not available on the internet.
