How do I join this group?

I used to belong but haven't heard from you in quite a while. I am an EA. Please advise.

This is a Usenet newsgroup, which is a very old form of discussion group on the Internet. The usual way to read the messages in the group is by using a newsreader or by reading them online in Google Groups. Neither of those requires joining anything. If you want to have the messages sent to you as emails, Google will do that for you. When you are signed in to your Google account, go to Groups and search for the group named misc.taxes.moderated. Click on the group in the search results. On the page for the group, click the blue "Join group" button. (If it says "Member" after the name of the group, you have already joined.) After you have joined the group, click "My groups," then "Edit memberships." You will then see a pull-down list where you can select an option to get the group messages by email.
