Multiple 1099s for the same fund

My wife and I jointly owned shares in a mutual fund. She passed away last year, so I changed ownership to individual.

Later, the mutual company changed the class of my mutual fund. So I have three 1099-DIVs for the same fund:

a. 1099-DIV for jointly held Fund A, lower class b. 1099-DIV for individual Fund A, lower class c. 1099-DIV for individual Fund A, higher class

I summed the dividends in the three 1099s and reported the total as one line item in TaxAct.

Is that OK? Or should I report dividends for each 1099? It is the same fund number for all 1099s.

I'd report it just as the 1099DIV forms have it. Of course, if total dividends are less than 1500, it doesn't make any difference how you list it.

Yes it is okay. In fact, I've never reported the dividends and capital gain distributions from the different funds at the same fund family by line item. E.g., I report all Vanguard dividends (4 different funds) as one line entry. I have never had that approach questioned.
