Quarterly Advisory Fee

Oct 09, 2013 1 Replies

I have an IRA that is managed by Fidelity. Until now the quarterly advisory fee was deducted from the account. These are not called custodial fee on the invoice but specifically "advisory fee".

If I pay the fee out of a taxable account can I deduct the fees?

Since I no longer receive earned income doing so could be a way to stretch the IRA sheltering.

Yes, on Schedule A as a miscellaneous deduction subject to 2% of AGI reduction.
