Question re 1040 Sched B

In the instructions for Sched B, it states:

"Purpose of Form Use Schedule B if any of the following applies. ? You had over $1,500 of taxable interest or ordinary dividends."

I take the "or" to mean if I had $1499 of each ($ 2998 total of the

2), a Sched B would *not* be required.

Am I correct ??

I (not a tax professional) think so, too. Don't forget, you still have to report that income on Form 1040 (I think Lines 8 and 9).

That's how I read it. ====Exactly $3,000 ($1,500 of each) doesn't mandate the form either. It says "over", not "at least."
