SS File and Suspend Confusion

I am confused, maybe having read TOO many sources?

It seems to be a No Brainer, that I should file for the SS "File and Suspend" benefits. Further, I am aware of the recent change, ending that option in ~ 6 months.

What is not clear to me, is Can I claim that SS payment. My BD is

3/22/ 1950, my wife's is 10/25/1952? I doubt that any SS office would be of assistance, in initiating/ filing such a claim?

If I (we) am eligible to claim that benefit, how does one proceed? Is a CPA the proper professional, to advise use?

I sure would appreiciate any advvice!!
