Tax free insurance settlement question

Suppose a person receives an insurance settlement that is considered to be tax free. Does this mean that estimated tax payments do not need to be made? Thank you.

========================================= MODERATOR'S COMMENT: If you are certain this is a tax-free payment, there is no need to pay estimated tax on this amount.
