Taxcut Deulxe2010 -have sched E?

  1. Does TaxCut Deluxe 2010 have the schedule E Rent and Royalties or do I spend the extra for the Premium version?

  1. I moved my rollover IRAs directly from a broker to a bank - does that require any entry in my 2010 tax forms?

Thanks in advance

  1. You don't even need Deluxe. H&R Block At Home Basic includes Schedule E.
  2. Yes. You need to enter the 1099-R data including the Code G (trustee to trusteee transfer) that should be in Box 7.

I am not familiar with TaxCuts but I cannot imagine that it doesn't handle Sch E.

If this was a direct transfer you will not receive a 1099 and no reporting involved. If you do receive a 1099, report it and note the amount rolled over and reduce form 1040 line 15b by that amount.

I may have parsed this question wrong.

I assumed OP had a rollover IRA at a broker and arranged for a direct transfer of that rollover IRA to a bank's IRA custodian.

Alan parsed this statement to read OP's employer plan at a broker was directly rolled over to an IRA at a bank.

No, I parsed it just as you did. What I should have said, is that if the trustee sends you a 1099-R with Code G in Box 7, you should enter it. There is no requirement for the trustee to issue the 1099. However, they all don't follow that rule. I saw one today that went from a bank in MA to INGDirect.

I have TC Dlx. It has a Schedule E and E Part I, II & III Attachment and Rental & Royalties Worksheet. I don't use it so have no idea how comprehensive it might be. This is a TC Link to "compare":

looks like a difference might be in "help"?
