Virginia Self-Employment Tax

Does anyone know if Virginia has a self-employment tax? During the

80's Virginia law required people who took a deduction on their federal taxes for the self-employment taxes they paid, had to add that back to determine their VA tax. That apparently is no longer the law.

But I got a question about whether VA has a self-employment tax itself these days. Does anyone know?

Thanks.

I confess I don't recall the requirements of the 80s, but there is not currently a Virginia self-employment tax.

If you itemize with the Feds you must itemize with Virginia. Virginia does not limit the state and local tax deduction to $10,000, but you cannot deduct state income taxes paid to Virginia.
