Financial Planning

Hello to this newsgroup

Forgive my intrusion, but I am an Independent Financial Adviser and Planner (Member of the Institute of Financial Planning) for my sins, I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I can source potential clients for my business from those who require bespoke, detailed and accurate financial planning services. We do it all if there is a pound sign in front except share dealing.

I operate mainly on a Fee costed basis but as is only sensible, if clients want to offset fees against commissions if products are purchased, no probs.

Anyone help out there.

Regards

Ned

First of all, Ned, it is etiquette to put "AD" or something similar in the title if you are advertising your services, which you obviously are. However advertisers frequently get flamed, so it's best not done.

Second, a signature more than 4 lines long is usually frowned upon by the net nannies.

Third, your best plan is to try to contribute constructively to the news group, using a concise signature, which allows anyone to find you if they need such services.

I don't know whether they would do it at an economic cost for you, but getting your name on lists of IFAs on various web sites might be a way forward. Maybe your professional body can help there. There are pages like "Find an IFA" on

formatting link
for example, and probably on several others.
